Her Unrealistic Hope

She was a broken soul. A heart that was once shattered into a million pieces. A person who never had a chance to be happy in life. A girl who had suffered a lot of harassment and torture, unknown to many. She spent her days in mourning and self-destruction. She had turned into an introvert, never wishing to be a part of the society. She hated everyone around her. One day, she thought of getting out of her closed world. She knew that would not completely burn her scars, but she was sure it will help her reduce her pain. She made up her mind to finally spread her wings and fly. She walked into the streets in her PJ’s and with a scarf wounded on her neck. She didn’t care about the dark eyes of the society on her. She went straight into the beach. The waves along were giving her a special kind of rejuvenation. It gave a freshness to her heart and soul. She smiled sheepishly looking at herself. She was enchanted by the calm sea. She felt the magnetic waves calling her towards them. She walked further into the sea, her feet sinking into the sand with every step. Her inner scars were washed away by the blue water. She tried walking further but was stopped by a hand. She turned back to see him. He took her away from the sea. He made her sit on the sand and held her hands. He moved his fingers through the scars on her hand. His gentle touch slowly healed her wounds. She looked into his eyes which was filled with something she had never felt from anyone. Concern. Till then, there had been no one to care for her. Till then, she had been all alone in her life. He hugged her swiftly and her fears started vanishing from herself. She felt her heart getting lighter and lighter. She closed her eyes and felt the warmth that the hug gave her. But when she opened her eyes, she found herself in the same closed room. She was thrown into darkness, once again. Everything that she saw, that she sensed, were mere dreams, which were far from reality. It was just an unrealistic hope. It was just a mirage in her deserted life.
